Driftwood Isles
★★★★★ 4.7
Driftwood Isles is the slow, pretty one in our rotation. You sail a small boat between floating islands, each with its own little mystery, and the whole thing is hand-drawn in a soft watercolor style that made me screenshot way too often.
The puzzles are light and tactile. Most involve observing the environment, lining up a mechanism, or finding a path that was hidden by perspective. Nothing here is designed to stump you for an hour, and the game trusts you to wander.
There is no combat and no timer, which sounds like it might be boring and absolutely is not. It is the kind of game I played in bed to wind down, and the music carries a lot of the mood. A quiet standout.
